I hadn't been on dA in a while and see that suddenly I have a ton of mentions... apparently my 
and 
emoticons are among the top choices for Yep and Nope in the new system (which I was completely unaware that we had an emoticon search now that let us use other people's stuff lol).
That's pretty cool!

Life sucks.

I still don't have a job. I had to bite the bullet and apply for unemployment just to keep fucking COBRA from draining me dry with the fucking expensive monthly payments to keep my ass insured because I still need to see doctors for things. At least I got a deferment on the student loans...
And then there's the government shutdown. My dad got furloughed... AGAIN. At least he gets to go back to work now but no official word on if he gets back pay or not.
Mom's having anxiety attacks over all this shit too.
And I don't even feel right going on Second Life. I'd go there to escape this life but despite the numerous warnings/messages/etc I've put up telling people that I'm depressed and lonely and stressed the fuck out I feel GUILTY every time I opt to skip a meeting or practice. And that's not right. Plus all the roleplay has taken a really dark turn recently and I'm NOT in the mood for that shit. I've got a funny story line idea and I'm bouncing ideas off my close friends but I dunno if I can even pull it off, nobody gave a fuck the last time I tried to run a story.
Fuck my life.

So I lost my job last week... I was hired to do public web things then in December they decided they didn't need me to do that anymore so they had me learn how to write actual programs. They kept me around till my annual review hoping that I'd be able to learn the new responsibilities of my position well enough to continue to do what they wanted. They were happy with my progress (I wrote a Silverlight app for them!), but it wasn't enough. So now I'm on the hunt for a job again
And I think I'm going to use this free time to draw more stuff related to my RP in Second Life. And probably more Ponies. Might as well use my free time creatively...

On the way to 100 deviations!

First, good news! I HAVE A JOB! I'm a web programmer now!
YAY EMPLOYMENT!
Second, well if you haven't noticed I've got 91 deviations up here. That means I'm close to 100. That means I better get working on that.
So I'm asking you, my watchers, to help me come up with the remaining 9 deviations. Well actually, I'm asking for 8 of them. Because I already know what I want to do for the 100th.
THINGS THAT I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN DRAWING:
- Star Trek (Data and my other favorites)
- Battlestar Galactica (Starbuck and my other favorites)
- My Little Pony (I have ideas for a ponified version of the TNG crew. This will take time as I don't know how everyone should look just yet.)
- Mass Effect (Y'all wanna see my Commander Shepard? Good, because I want to draw her! This is about the only thing I'm willing to draw from that game as everything and everyone else looks hard as fuck to draw. Yes I'm looking at you, Garrus and Wrex.)
- Star Fox (maybe!)
- Pokemon (also maybe!)
- My OCs doing things
- Pictures of friends from SL (Y'all know who you are. Want a portrait? I'll draw one of your avatar!)
While I do support some ships, I'm not a very shippy person. Don't expect beautiful drawings of shipped pairs if they are requested. Everything has got to be either badass/cool or funny when I draw it. And I will not draw a ship I do not personally support. Y'know what? Just don't even ask for shipping pictures.
So let me know what you think I should draw!
